What new games are out for PS3?
According to the International Business Times, "Helldivers" is set in a futuristic dystopian universe, and unlike most, it's making fun of dystopia for a change, as can be seen on its official trailer posted on the official PlayStation YouTube Page.
Unlike most game trailers, "Helldivers" made it like a public service announcement, with a narrator who could have been voicing the PS ads from Uncle Sam, his exuberance promising galaxy travel, foreign worlds, and exotic life forms to spread democracy and bring safety to the entire universe.
If it looks familiar, it's because it's patterned to Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi classic, "Starship Troopers."
CinemaBlend also elaborated on how "Helldivers" can stand apart from other twin-stick shooter games like "Stardust, " "Geometry Wars, " and "Dead Nations, " and as it turns out, "Helldivers" is a lot more punishing considering that the game is designed to be more... manual.
It is also made to keep players thinking on their toes, which means that gun loading is manual, grenades are poorly placed, and there is no way you can rely only on running and gunning, considering the heavy enemy onslaught. It is, however, guaranteed to be fun and funny at the same time.
The official preview, as printed by the International Business Times, read: "Despite how difficult Helldivers is in its early state, this brutal shooter will get players laughing. And that's a real accomplishment when those players are being eviscerated by giant insects."
"Helldivers" was revealed at the 2013 Gamescon, however, despite being on and off news for a year and a half, there was never a release date attached, and what was thought to be a 2014 release was held back for 2015 - and it's coming closer than you think.
Set to be released exclusively on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, the cross-buy title (meaning a platform grants access to any of the consoles mentioned) will be available beginning March 3.
